A Quick Note about Smoking

Smoking is a bad habit and I hate to see one's that I love and hold near and dear to be harming themselves and others around...but you all have heard this sch-peel from me before. Anyways, the Oviatt is a non-smoking building so those who wish to do so must go down the elevator and smoke outside in front of the building. I guess there will be a fire marshal present and he no likey flames.

Mailing Address

There has been a recent request that we post our address that Bethany and I will be residing after the wedding for purposes of maybe sending letters/cards of congrats. Our mailing address is the one that was on the envelopes the invitations were sent in. However, if you have lost your envelope or threw it away or maybe it was even stolen...here is the address again.

Parking

One unfortunate aspect of Downtown Los Angeles is that they make you pay for the privilege of parking in their beautiful city. If you stay at the Hilton you will not have to worry about finding parking however, they charge a pretty penny to park there. I think it's around $25 to park at the Hilton.

For those of you driving in just for the wedding night. I have good news for parking. I called a parking structure that is around the corner from the Oviatt on 523 W. 6th Street called Pacific Center. After 3pm they have a flat rate of $5 for parking. So there you go. $5 parking. However, you must remove your vehicle before midnight or it will turn into a pumpkin. No actually the parking structure closes at Midnight so no overnight parking.

For the Hilton goers...I am still looking for better overnight parking rates. I will update as soon as I find out more.

Food

Only Desserts and Cheese will be served at the wedding so please see the restaurants below. There are links to several restaurants with all budgets in mind. The links will show you a map of where it is located including phone numbers.


However, if you find that a chocolate fondue fountain, cake, cookies, and a wide assortment of imported cheese served with crackers is enough to feed your appetite then...well...there's yer dinner!

Hotel Accomodations GREAT DEAL

Lately we have been talking with the manager of the Hilton right near the Oviatt on Grand Ave Which is the street before Olive when you are coming from the freeway. It is a 5 minute walk from the Oviatt.

We have a block of 10 rooms reserved for the 7th-9th I believe for those of you who would like to stay at the Hilton the night before or the night after or both. The manager has generously given us a great deal. The rooms normally run about $300-$400 a night. We are getting them for $129 a night.

We visited the hotel. The rooms are very nice plus you wont have to worry about parking.

We only have until September 10th to fill up the block!!! We need at least 8 rooms reserved to receive the discounted prices and a discount on our wedding suite! ;) Also I think there is a limited number of rooms reserved for the block...which is 10 I believe.

Importance to RSVP Immediately

It is really important that you RSVP ASAP!!! The Oviatt has a fire code limit of 125 guests. There are a good number that are already considered RSVP'd such as parents, siblings, wedding party, and grandparents. Which knocks the number down to close to only 100 spots left. So please RSVP and let us know for certain that you plan to attend.We love you all and hope to see you there!
